Many people likes to eat dosa in hotel because in their home it will be not that much crispy and not in the same colour . So here i am showing you how a crispy and golden coloured dosa can be done in home , and it is very simple . about chutney and potato curry i will tell in next post.
INGREDIENTS:-
- Urad daal 1cup
- Dosa rice 4 cups
- Fenugreek 2 T-spoons
- Poha (normal) 1 cup
- Bengal gram 3 T-spoons
- Toor daal 3 T-spoons
- Water , salt , sugar and oil is needed .
METHOD:-
- Wash and Soak all ingredients in a vessel for 3 hours , next grind in a grinder or mixer . Add little by little quantity of water while grinding according to batter thickness ,don't grind too smooth , batter should be little rough to get crispiness. Batter should not be too liquid it should be in medium thickness. You can guess by practice.
- Grinding time depends on the quantity of ingredients you have taken , take the same cup to measure urad daal and dosa rice.
- If u soak them around 10 am then grind it around 1 or 1-30 pm , after grinding remove the batter to a vessel and close it by a plate so that air should not be circulated and keep it for whole night like that only so that fermentation will happen.
- Next day morning take some amount of batter in to a small vessel , add little salt (1/2 tsp) and 1tsp of sugar to the batter and mix well , heat the dosa thava sprinkle a drop of oil , take half portion of onion and spread that oil on thava surface , now spread the batter on thava and again sprinkle a t-spoon of oil on dosa , keep medium flame and make the dosa .
ALL THE BEST :)
