" Pulka " is a soft Indian bread , it looks like poori . To avoid oil in chapathi we can go for pulka . Even though we don't put oil to it pulka's are very soft to eat , very light too. You can also make them on direct stove , but using pulka holder makes the work easy . This is most common in restaurants & as well as homes (in my home almost alternate days :) ) . Do try and enjoy these softest phulka's .
Ingredients :-
Method:-
Take a wide bowl to knead atta , add wheat flour , salt mix well . If you are adding curd or butter milk (it gives very soft texture to pulka / chapati) then reduce the water quantity to 1/2 cup , other wise 1 cup is needed , you can add 1-2 tsp of oil while mixing but i don't as i add curd it gives softness then why to increase calorie . Mix well and knead well to make dough .
Close the dough with a lid , let it set for 10-15 min.
Take lemon size dough , roll them to round shape with equal thickness .
Heat thava for 2-3 min , place the rolled pulka on thava let it cook for 15 -20 seconds , flip n cook again 15 sec's .
Immediately place the Pulka on pulka holder , keep high flame just 3-4 sec it will fluff up .
So now hot -hot soft pulka is ready to serve , serve with curry .
